That grass in the foreground of the first shot is pretty, but the second shot is definately the more intersting of the two in my eyes. It's a good demonstration of how cropping changes the shot. It brings you right into the scene. Very nice!
Just a suggestion John, but I would take it a step further, abd crop it into a Psuedo (Fake) Pano shot, I achieved some good results with that on a fireworks shot from a long way off last year, then you can retain all of the river front. Your crop is great but I would want more river.
Love that 2nd one, the tree on the right is very interesting. Where I live I often see buzzards, eagles and other large predators on that type of tree, near the woods or the water.

ReplyDeleteLove the cropped version, the stark appearance of the trees is fascinating!
ReplyDeleteBIG difference in the two. At first I didn't realize they were the same image. Nice example of cropping for effect.
ReplyDeleteGood example of cropping--thanks for showing both pictures.
ReplyDeleteI like the crop, John, but I also like that wide expanse of grass. I believe that I would use a little more grass in the crop.
ReplyDeleteBIG difference between those two. It's like two completely different pictures. Gread example!
ReplyDeleteI love the final version!
ReplyDeleteI like the third shot best and then the first.
