VPW #8 (Texture/Pattern and Warning)

Pretty slow at the beach in January
and many of the cars that are here have
licenses from 'the north'
A bit self created but..
texture/pattern
just the same.

Warning sign going unnoticed today

  1. Your composition on this is really nice John. The lines in the fence and the sign in the right third really work together. It's a really pleasing shot to view.

  2. Aahhh - I didn't realize that both photos were in the same post, because I really wanted to comment on the fun sand-writing shot - very clever and a fun take on the theme. It made me smile.

  3. Plenty of texture and pattern in both, I like the sand at the top as it has those little vertical ripples. Although they both almost look like snow, then I caught myself saying, well are they snow?

  4. You do know that the forensics people are able to extract toe prints, from moving sands now, you could find yourself looking at life through bars with a lot more texture that that cute little fence by the beach, LOL

  5. Very cool sand writing....I loved that effect! The texture in both of these is wonderful...I especially love how the fence and the ripple lines in the sand leads off to that blue water!

  6. This looks like the Chicago Lake Michigan beaches...only ours have snow instead of sand. Great shot!

  7. All worthwhile for someone to get a smile!

No, not snow. Temperature in mid 50's at the time with clouds and wind. Rather chilly for this part of the country.

Prints are not mine as there were the original target for the photo. Never had anything too interesting so I just wrote my own story.
